London, 18 January 201: Added Value has appointed Nic Bulois as Head of Quantitative Insight in their UK office. With fifteen years’ experience in market research behind him, including roles at Millward Brown, Added Value France and most recently, eBay, Nic will lead major international projects and client relationships at Added Value UK. Part of Nic’s role will also focus on developing new insight techniques.
Prior to joining Added Value, Nic spent three years at eBay in research and strategy roles. At the online auction and shopping website, Nic was credited with successfully establishing the research functions for the Italian and French businesses, and using consumer insight to improve marketing and operations, making recommendations for more relevant product development and improved customer experience. This included the introduction of eBay Buyer Protection for settling disputed eBay transactions as well as the launch of eBay into France, both of which contributed to the brand’s continued strong growth during 2010.
Nic began his career at Millward Brown where he spent 10 years, before joining Added Value France in 2005. Nic has worked for a variety of clients spanning many categories, including automotive, fashion, finance, FMCG, pharmaceutical and technology.
He also has firsthand experience of different cultures working in UK, France, Canada, and Switzerland.
Says Marie Ridgley, Managing Director of Added Value UK: “We are delighted to welcome Nic to Added Value. He made a huge contribution to the success of our French business as well as shaping several inspired services at eBay over the last three years. This experience has given Nic an intuitive understanding of what clients need, and how best to deliver this.
“Coupled with his strategy and research expertise, we are looking to Nic to grow our quantitative insight business and play a significant role in delivering inspired marketing as well as business value to our clients.”
Bulois adds: “I am joining Added Value at a time when, post financial crisis, many major brands are questioning – amongst other marketing issues – how well their products are meeting the needs of the consumer. I thrive on answering challenging marketing issues, so I’m excited about the role, and working with an impressive list of clients on some of the toughest briefs in the industry. ”
Nic holds a degree in languages and business as well as Masters in Business from Aston University in the UK. Outside of work, Nic is a keen outdoor sports enthusiast and traveler.
